“I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
Jesus bore His soul and gave His life. Then he resurrected and ascended into the clouds of heaven. His sacrifice made Him the firstborn among many brethren—a family of sons and daughters who become joint heirs with Him. They will bear the treasures of His eternal investment if they walk with Him and are refined into vessels of honor.
Wisdom knows that gifts lose their eternal value when driven by personal gain. Though they may fuel innovation and creativity, shape culture, and empower the technologies of this age, they were never meant to elevate man.
God’s gifts are entrusted to those who will neither hide nor bury them. They are commissioned and purposed for the expansion of His Kingdom. They are given to those who live in expectation, looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ.
Enduring the path of spiritual sonship—and reaping its rewards—comes at a price. The toll is our trust.
