What Will We Choose in This New Era Before Us?

As the world stands on the precipice of a new era, the question before us is one of profound significance. What will we choose in this moment of history? The age-old decision remains: will we pursue the promises of this world, or will we follow the path that leads to true and eternal significance? As we move forward, we are confronted not just by the advancements of technology, the changes in politics, or the shifting cultural landscape, but by the eternal reality of our choices.

What will we choose in this new era before us? Every person, believer and non-believer alike, faces the same pivotal question. What will we choose in this new era—the way of fleeting success, comfort, and security, or the way of truth, obedience, and faithfulness to God’s eternal promises?

The world, with its temptations, calls us with its advances. From AI to quantum computing, from social reform to economic restructuring, it promises a new dawn—a world of peace, safety, and progress. But beneath these promises lies an undercurrent of deception. For while the world offers temporary comforts and technological marvels, it also tempts us to ignore the eternal truths that should anchor our souls. The quest for momentary peace too often leads us into spiritual apathy, lulling us into a false sense of security. This world, this system of Mammon, cannot offer us the lasting peace and provision that only God can give, like He did for Israel in the Wilderness. Will you choose Mammon or Manna?

This is the peril that stands before us—the temptation to believe that the new world we are entering, with all its marvels and potential, is the promised land. It is easy to mistake the beauty of progress for the fulfillment of divine purpose. But the true promise of God is not tied to worldly success or technological advances. His promise transcends time and is rooted in the eternal hope found only in Christ. It is a call to move forward with vigilance and discernment. The world presents a polished illusion of a utopia, crafted with artificial intelligence and design, luring us into a false sense of security. But God, in His unmatched sovereignty, offers us an unshakable kingdom—one that He has prepared for those who love Him, an eternal refuge that cannot be swayed by the fleeting schemes of this world.

In this new era, our choices matter more than ever. Will we, like the Israelites, wander through the wilderness of our own making, distracted by the comforts of Egypt, or will we, by faith, choose the narrow path that leads to the promise of God’s kingdom? The journey ahead will not be without struggle. There will be temptations to compromise, distractions that draw us away from our true purpose, and challenges that will test our resolve. But as we look toward the future, we must ask ourselves: Will we choose the promise of God, or will we be led astray by the peril of this world?

We face a choice in this new era. It is a decision that affects not just our present, but our eternity. The call sounds for those who have ears to hear it: follow Christ into the true promised land, where peace, joy, and purpose are found in Him alone. Let’s not be deceived by the temporal peace of this world, but instead choose eternal significance and walk with Jesus, trusting in His plan and living according to His Word. Our choices will shape not only our lives but the destiny of our souls.
